Xetal Yugen Technology
Build from our experience with the Kinsei Technology, a Yugen sensor is capable to detect in real-time presence and provide the position of three or more persons for areas easily up to 7m by 7m. This information allows to implements systems that need to detect occupancy, to know the number of people and/or to monitor the flow of people in a given area.
A Yugen System uses temperature sensors (not to be confused with motion sensors) mounted on the ceiling. Each sensor does not rely on the movement of a person, but on the temperature itself, and it is connected by wire (or via a wireless adapter) to a control board. The control board that collects and transforms the temperature data into the detection information. The most advanced Yugen sensor can provide directly positional information without the need for a control board, simplify deploying in applications such as retailing and smart office.
Yugen is suitable for safety, security and any smart building application from small closed spaces to open spaces thanks to its simplicity in installation and maintenance.
The Yugen sensor family is composed by three type of sensors:
small area sensors: Their small viewing angle (10x40 degrees) makes them suitable for small areas like cash-dispensers, toilet cubicles, small lifts and office cubicles. Each sensor monitors the spaces as divided in three adjacent zones and indicates if a given zone is occupied or not.
medium area sensors: They are suitable also for areas like small meeting rooms, cash-points, lifts and doors with a viewing angle up to 47x47 degrees.
large area sensors: They are suitable for most closed and open areas. They have the capability to detect and localize one or more persons also without the control board. They can be delivered with viewing angles up to 105x105 degrees.
